Dr. Andrew Pippas is medical director and director of clinical oncology research with the John B. Amos Cancer Center at Piedmont Columbus Regional in Columbus, Georgia. Dr. Pippas' research interests include gastrointestinal malignancies. A 2010 Distinguished Georgia Cancer Scholar, he a recipient of the National Institutes of Health's Physician Scientist Award. Dr. Pippas is board certified in Internal Medicine, Hematology, and Medical Oncology. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Utah School of Medicine in Salt Lake City, and completed his residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in medical oncology/ hematology at the Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina. He is an active member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the American Society of Hematology.
