Aprille Belgrave is the Study Monitor for Georgia NCORP (NCI Community Oncology Research Program) for Georgia CORE – the Center for Oncology Research and Education, a non-profit organization working to improve the quality of cancer care in Georgia.  Her primary role is to ensure that compliant and ethical research is conducted within the GA NCORP research network.

Ms. Belgrave has extensive professional experience in the area of oncology diagnostics as well as a background in public health. After graduating from the University of North Carolina with a Bachelor’s in Biology, Ms. Belgrave honed her skills as an Oncology Cytogenetic Technologist at Laboratory Corporation of America in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina, and Genzyme Genetics in New York, New York.  She completed her certification while at Genzyme Genetics.

Eight years after working as a certified Cytogenetic Technologist, she decided to pursue an education in public health. She graduated from the University of New England with her Master of Public Health in 2014, and she completed an internship at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Epidemiology and Health Communications.

Ms. Belgrave also has experience working as a Senior Report Writer for CSI Laboratories, a cytogenetic diagnostics laboratory in Alpharetta, Georgia. Ms. Belgrave is excited about the mission and goals of Georgia CORE, and she looks forward to contributing her time and experience to the mission as the Study Monitor for Georgia NCORP.  

In her free time, Ms. Belgrave enjoys traveling and outdoor activities, particularly running and biking.
