2015 Cycle 2 Request for Proposal has been released!

Georgia CORE - the Center for Oncology Research and Education is very excited to announce the release of a new Request for Proposals (RFP) for the Georgia Access to Care, Treatment and Services (ACTS) grant program!

The purpose of the Georgia Access to Care, Treatment and Services (ACTS) Grant program is to expand breast cancer education, screening, access, and outreach as well as treatment services to people in the state of Georgia who are medically underserved.

Funds generated from the sale and renewal of the Breast Cancer License Tags ($600,000) are now available to non-profit organizations and publichealth agencies, to be distributed through an RFP process. Awards of up to $100,000 will be made for Treatment Service Projects and awards of up to $50,000 will be made for Education and Preventive Services Projects.

Entities with outstanding funding or incomplete progress reports from the previous grant period are not eligible to apply for an additional grant during this funding cycle.

Complete applications must be submitted by 5:00 pm on November 6, 2015. Awards will be announced in January 2016.

Go here for more information and to access the RFP.

Organizations providing education and/or treatment services in Terrell, Appling, Evans, Peach, Jasper and/or Glynn counties will receive greater consideration for funding as these counties have the highest incidence of late stage breast cancer in Georgia.
