Addiction treatment plays a supportive role in enhancing overall health and well-being for cancer patients. By addressing addiction, individuals can lead healthier lifestyles, improve their adherence to cancer treatments, and manage the emotional and psychological challenges associated with both addiction and cancer. Overcoming addiction can also reduce risk factors for further health complications and support a holistic approach to recovery. While it doesn’t directly impact cancer, effective addiction treatment can significantly contribute to better treatment outcomes and a higher quality of life for those undergoing cancer care.
